April 9 or April 11?

I went to our probate court website yesterday so that I could obtain an abstract. In not sure how it is done on every state, but where I live you need an abstract of your marriage license, so that you can change your name on all paperwork, such as social security card, drivers license etc. When I went to apply on line to obtain the abstract, I noticed that the date listed on the website was that I was married on April 9, 2009. The first thing that came to mind was that it was a typo. I called the probate court to find out how to get that changed. When I spoke to the clerk at the probate court she stated that, " I just looked at you application for your abstract and wondered if you knew when you got married." She laughed when she said it. I did not think that it was funny and wanted to say some choice words. She said after she got through laughing, she said that the minister that married us mailed the license back in with the April 9, 2009 date. She stated that all I need to do was to have the minister that married us write a letter so that I can get the date can be changed. One more thing that I need to take care...but it is going to be an easy fix.

don't know why people think they should crack jokes and say funny things--after all the stress a person goes under planning and getting married, they just really don't need someone poking fun at them
