Ms. Linnyette

I was so excited when I was looking another brides blog, I guess I really am not a bride anymore, well anyway I came across the blog of one of the wedding planners that I love to watch on "Who's Wedding is it Anyway?" that comes on the Style network. The planners name is Linnyette Richardson-Hall. On the show she has done some amazing things with the high and low budgets. I can not wait to see what she creates this season (and yes I am still going to be watching the show, even though I am now married). Follow the link to check out her blog http://confessionsoftheweddingdiva.blogspot.com/ .

Jon and Kate Plus 8 Get Married

Well, Jon and Kate are already married, but this season they are renewing their vows with their children in Hawaii. I had wondered what Kate was doing when I saw her on the TV show Say Yes to the Dress a couple of weeks ago, in Kleinfields picking out a wedding dress. This is the dress that she decided on with her sales associate Keisha. I really like her headpiece. I think it goes well with her haircut and the style of the dress. This past Monday and next Monday you can see them in their Aloha special. Happy viewing.

Wedding Revisions

David Tutera has 2 bridal shows on We TV. One is My Fair Wedding and the other is Get Married. He also has a website full of party planning ideas, books and wedding planning. I really like both of these shows and TiVo them often. Watch the shows and look at the websites for ideas and inspirations.

Flashback

I know that this is a wedding blog, but I am digressing. The new series of 90210 has started. I am a fan of the old series and watched it up until the show went off the air in the early 90's. I watched the new series and I might give it a try, since tonight was the first night. It has some of the same sexiness and cattiness as the old one. I am hoping that some of the old characters show up, since they already have Kelly and Brenda back on the show. Well I will see how I feel as the weeks progress if I enjoy it just as much as the old series. Did you watch it? If so what do you think?
PS: The old series comes on nightly on Soap Network. Check your local listings for times.

Bridal TV

There are many shows on on TV for brides or "soon to be" brides that offer information, resources and of course entertainment. Below is a list of so of these shows, I TiVo often ( I really need to find something else to do).

Lifetime Television

  • Get Married-- Resource show that gives information on all aspects of wedding. The show also has a website that list wedding resources in your area.
  • Real Weddings of a Lifetime -- Show selects a topic like, great wedding cakes or celebrity weddings, and shows different aspects of the topic. Real Weddings also shows weddings of ordinary people.

Style Network

  • Whose Wedding Is It Anyway? -- This is the wedding planner show. The series comes from the wedding coordinators perspective and shows how the selected couple wedding turns out.

Fine Living

  • Wedding SOS -- The fairy god-coordinator, Jane, gives stressed couples three wishes in assisting them with the last minute planning of their weddings.

WE tv

  • Bridezillas --Are you a bridezilla? A show about brides and their craziness.
  • Platinum Weddings --Are you having a platinum wedding? This series shows extravagant weddings were couples are spending thousands and thousands of dollars on their big day.

TLC-The Learning Channel

  • A Wedding Story --Follows couples the week of their wedding until their big day.
  • Say Yes to the Dress--Looking for a designer wedding dress? Why not go to Kleinfeld. Say Yes to the Dress shows the wedding dress consultants view and the brides view of purchasing a dress from the historic store,Kleinfeld.

Many stations have specials dedicated to weddings. If you go to their website and put in the search section, "wedding", all of them will bring up shows that deal with that topic. Here are a few:

Some of the networks that have regular wedding shows as show specials. For all of the networks you will have to check your local listing for days and times the shows play. If you know of any other shows to watch, please respond to this posting. I would be happy to share them. Happy viewing!

Channel your internal Carrie

Yippy!!! I saw Sex and the City the movie this weekend with my friend Ginger. It was wonderful. I will not tell much of the movie, since some of you may not have seen it yet. I do not want to ruin it for you. It was a great movie. It got me thinking about several things, like friends and fashion.

Do you have a Charlotte, Miranda and/or a Samantha in your life? When I watched the movie I could not help to think about my friends. I have each of these ladies in my life. I appreciate all the differences that these ladies have. They each add something different to my live. I really do not know what I would do without my Charlotte's thirst for life, my Miranda's level headiness and my Samantha's spunk.

Let's talk about the fashion. The screen was like eye candy with all of the fashion that Sex and the City ladies wore. I wish that I was on the set to just touch the clothing, purses and shoes glorious shoes.

Here are all the ladies in their wedding couture. These dress are fabulous. Check out The Bride's Cafe to read a great article about the floral designer from the movie.

I love these Jimmy Choo shoes. These shoes are similar to the ones that the ladies wore in the movie.

I want this Louis Vuitton bag. This is like the one that Jennifer Hudson character carried in the movie. I do not have one like this. If you do not have one either you can rent one from one of my favorite website Bag Barrow or Steal.

Channel your inter Carrie through your friends and fashion and you to can have a fabulous life in whatever city that you live in.
