Internet Invitations

My broomjumpinggroom and I are both involved with our fraternity and sorority. There are several people in each of our graduate chapters that we wanted to invite to the wedding, but did not want to incur the additional expense of invitations and postage. Several of my other sorors, sorority sisters, have gotten married in the past and have sent an email tothe chapter asking for RSVP's. I have used Internet invitations in the past and thought why not use them this time. Evite is an Internet site that has several different of invitations, from bridal showers to weddings and everything in between. When you using this site you can customize your invitation, add all the information that you need your guest to know, see when your guest open the invitation and what their response is. I have gotten a good response out of this and I think that it a good way to cut cost, if your guest have Internet access.

Got a Ticker?

There are several of us " bride bloggers" who have wedding countdown tickers on our blog. This countdown shows how many months and days that you have until your big day(or it can show the procrastinating bride how many less days that she has to get stuff done). If you would like to have one of these tickers on your blog, check out the Widgetbox site. I have found it very user friendly. There are many different types of countdowns and you can even customize them. There are several different types of formats that you can create your ticker in so that it is compatible with the site or system that you are using. Be creative and have fun using this site. If you have any other sites that might be helpful, post it here and share with us all.

Cubic Zirconia or Diamonds?

The only thing on my wedding that will be real diamonds will be wedding ring. If you want to wear real diamonds on your wedding day but can not afford them, you can rent them. Check out Adorn Brides. This website has diamond jewelry that you can rent . When renting the jewelry, you have to check out to see if the pieces you would like are available for the day that you want them. If they are you then reserve them for your day. You will receive the items a day or so before your event. So if you want to feel like a celebrity renting Harry Winston jewels for the Oscars, this site is for you.

They Are Here!!!

They're hereeeeeeee!!! Anyone else remember this from the movie Poltergeists. Well, I am not speaking of ghost, but about the vases for my tables at the wedding reception. I talked about them in previous posting. I bought these on the Bride to Bride Boutique website from a woman named Jill, who used them for her wedding. Jill was nice enough to bring them to me and drop them off at my home instead of me paying for shipping. I am sure shipping would have been more than what I bought the vases for. I got them for a great price. My basement is starting to get full with all of the goodies I have purchased for the wedding. If you are still in need of stuff check out the Bride to Bride Boutique website, you might find something that you are looking for as well.
