Our garter toss (and bouquet toss) is actually going to be a fundraiser for marriage equality. I picture Lauren in a flashy number inspired by peacock feathers. All of our attendees will enter into a raffel to win the right to find and throw the garter. A nice twist on a questonable tradition :)

I love Julianne's designs!

Our big day is all about family and being together. I hope it's a Romantic Relaxing day - I know I will remember it for the REST of my life. May 23, 2009 - I can't wait!

When we use the word garter, it has so many different connotations. My fiance imagines a sexy, lacy teddy with garters connecting to thigh highs of some sort. My mom imagines a little girl lacy thing for my fiance to modestly remove. My girlfriends..... they imagine crazy games to play at a bachelorette party.

Me? I imagine my garter representing my whole wedding. A touch of Cinderella, red black and gold, and a symbol of our love. A lot can be said with a small piece of fabric and some accents. It's all in which accents are used.

G- Gorgeous; these garters from Julianne are simply GORGEOUS and gives such as chic look

A- August; This is the month we will marry, August 8th, 09 to be exact.

R- Ready; I am so ready to marry Victor (fiance'). I know it's cliche but before I met him I never knew how I was supposed to be treated, he opened my eyes and my heart and showed me my worth.

T- Tight Budget; Me and the FI live in Michigan and our economy sucks so bad and it's been so hard trying to find a job (recently graduated)and trying to plan a wedding without being stressed. I am trying to create a modern, chic wedding on a tight budget.

E- Eat; I want our guests to enjoy the food and not run to the fast food place after the reception (I've had to do it before lol)!

R- Rememorable; This will obviously go down as one of the things I'll always remember and hold in my heart.

Sorry so long! I really love her garters and have seen them before but it wasn't in my budget and I was just going to buy mines from Michael's for like $12.99 so it would be awesome to win this!
