U and I
I think this one weekend that I really have not alot to do...well, that is a lie, I am meeting with a florist on Saturday and am helping host a baby shower on Sunday, but my evenings are free. The whole point of getting engaged is so that you marry and be with the person that you love. It does not seem like I have seen the Broomjumpinggroom much..but this weekend is date night. We have several conversations throughout the day, and I am not counting us texting each other at work as a date. We have already decided that we will try to have some sort of date night per week. It does not have to be anything extravagant, it can be as simple as having lunch together, renting a DVD, watching a TV show, having a conversation (not via text or phone) or having a night out on the town. During this time together, there is not wedding planning talk (having a hard time with this rule). I can not wait to see what we do this evening. What do you and your groom-to-be do to stay connected during the wedding planning process?

I Got the Power

I got the power. Anyone else remember He-Man and She-ra? I feel I am turning to She-ra as I continue the challenge. Well, I did day two of the 100 Push-Up Challenge. I do not feel to bad. It seemed to help when I did the crunches during the push-up rest period. I just ache a little in the morning, but the soreness seems to go away as the day goes on. I have more day this week, which I will probably do Saturday morning since I went to belly dancing class last night and want a day off. Keep up the good work all of you push-uppers.

Wedding Weekend Part II: The Cake

Well after my fun day with my bridesmaids, I went cake tasting with my MOH and my mother on Sunday. This is one of two to three that I plan on attending. We went with out mouths set to eat some yummy, yummy cake. When we walked in Ms. Judy's home it smelled so good it was hard to concentrate on the design of the cake. We made it through it. We all had opinions about the cake and how it should look. We kinda of collaborated on one idea. Ms. Judy made me a little cake to take with me and taste. I could not wait to get back to my mom's to eat some. It was totally worth the wait, it was so soft and smooth and the icing was so creamy with the right amount of sweetness. I am not going to make a decision yet, but I like the design and the taste of Ms. Judy's cake. I have one more tasting next week, I will let you know how it goes.
100 Push Up Challenge...I Think I Am At 2

No, no, no. I have been doing the challenge as listed, so I have done way more than two. I finished week one and am on week two. I started week two on Tuesday. I did not feel to bad when doing them and seemed not to struggle to as much as I did last week. One of my goals of doing this is not only to strengthen my arms, but to become strong enough so that I can get lower the ground when doing the push ups. When I did the rest periods in between sets I did 25 crunches. max I plan on doing my push ups tomorrow and Thursday to finish out the week. How is everyone else doing? Keep up the good work.

Jersey Knit Can Be Sexy
I love these dresses. These dresses are by Alfred Angelo and are all made from jersey knit material. They are the best of both worlds, comfortable and sexy. To see the variation of colors and sizes for the dress, click here. Your bridesmaids will thank you for selecting one of these dresses.

Wedding Weekend Part I: The Bridesmaids
This weekend I went with my bridesmaids to Perfect Weddings Bridal Salon, for them to order their dresses. For the wedding my bridesmaids will be in the aqua color and my maid and matron of honor will be in the chocolate brown. Each "diva" (what I am calling my bridesmaids) was able to choose their own top, but will all be in the same skirt. Lucky, everyone picked a different top, which is what I wanted. The process went smoothly and it was actually kinda of fun. Below are some of the tops that my "divas" selected.Like I stated before, all the bridesmaids will be in aqua with any accents on the dress to be in the chocolate brown.

This is the maid of honor. Her dress will be brown and her accents will be in the aqua.
Above is the skirt that everyone will be wearing with their top.
My matron of honor really fell in love with this top. She tried on some others but she kept going back to this one. It was nothing like the ones that she selected when I sent her the website to look at. The back is really cute.
This is my cousins dress. She got sized in June when she was in town, since she lives in Atlanta, Ga. Her top has really pretty rhinestone buttons on it. She came prepared and even brought the shoes that she wants to wear in the wedding. She left them with me so that when I decided to get their shoes dyed , I would have hers and she would not have to ship them to me.If you have not guessed, I am allowing my bridal party to select their own shoes, along as they are dyeable. I want them to feel as good as they look.
After we did the sizing, my mom treated us to Applebees (THANKS MOM!!!). It was a really fun day and it was great to hang with my friends. I am excited about the ladies dresses and can not wait to see them when the come in.
The next post from this weekend of wedding planning is all about the cake and veil.
