Now that I know where I am getting my candy from, I need to find the containers that I want to put them in to. I want them to be different shapes and sizes, to make the display a little more interesting. I have found a lot of 3 on Ebay for $.99. What a deal!!! My mom found a real crystal bowl at the thrift store, ( one of my favorite places on earth). I think I have decided that I am only going to have 8 selections of candy at the reception so I only need to look for 4 more. To complete the candy bar area, I need to find some candy scoops and find the perfect bags that I can put my monogram on (well I guess I need to get on the ball rolling on creating that) for my guest to take the treats in.
This planning stuff takes on many layers. I thought that picking candy would be simple, but there are several other things that I need to do so that the candy bar looks that way that I want it so that my guest and I are both satisfied.

In choosing a wedding planner, select one that fits your budget, style and expectations. Always remember that a wedding planner does not plan a wedding based off of their vision for your day, but off of your vision that you have for wedding.

I was not even supposed to be in the shoe store tonight, but my mom was looking for something and I went with her..you know for moral support. Of course, I went through my routine of being overwhelmed with all the beautiful shoes. As I make my way to the clearance section, all the time running through my head that I was not going to purchases anything, I spot them. The perfect shoes for my wedding. ( the above photo is sort of looks like the shoes) I walk up to them. I inspect them. I caress them. Then I realize that they are 40% off, which makes them even better. As I look through the other evening/bridal shoes in the store... I begin to think about how great a deal these were. I refuse to pay $46.00-70.00 for a pair shoes that I am probably only going to wear for 2 hours and take off for a cute pair of flip-flops at the reception. I decided to take the plunge and try them on. Of course, they fit perfectly and were comfortable to boot. The only problem was, I was trying to decide if the heel was to high to stand next to my fiance. He is not a short man, but sometimes when I wear certain shoes , like a stiletto, I am shoulder to shoulder to him. My mom liked them and they felt good to walking. I had to make sure that they were dye able, since I would like the shoes to be dyed the same color as my sash on my dress, aqua (my something blue). I decided to put them on hold so that I could check the Internet to see if I really was getting a deal. I will probably end up going to get them, because they were on sale, made my calf look really long and lean and they really need a home. Never leave a shoe orphaned.

The one workouts that I look forward to every week, is my belly dancing class. I have been taking belly dancing for almost a year now. I started taking classes in May of last year. My classes are taken at Habeebas Dance of the Arts http://www.habeebas.com/ . I really enjoy the way that my body moves and how the classes make me feel. Besides they are fun. I try to get to classes twice a week if possible, so that I can dance. My teacher is trying to talk me into performing with the troupe this summer. I said that I might depending on what dance I did. I really like the dances that we dance with the scarfs. We will see how the next few months go with the dance classes and wedding planning to see if and when I am going to perform.
The next type of exercise that I am interested in is pole dancing. One of sorority sisters took this class and said it really gave her a good upper body workout. I am trying to figure out when I can fit this into my schedule. This class has two-fold benefits, a great arm and leg workout and future newlywed benefits (if you know what I mean). Here is a place that offers pole and exotic dancing, called Dolphin Dance, http://dolphindanceexotic.com/ . Maybe I will see you there!

http://www.anchorpaper.com/ This company has the right shade of Tiffany blue that I have been looking for. Actually this is the paper company that the bride to be on the road to the aisle blog used for the paper she used for her invitations. The person that I had contact with was Tom (email@example.com). He was really helpful and responses quick to email. He can assist you with the custom cutting that you need for your invitation. The colors of paper that match the most for my wedding were Metallic Astrobright Glisten Lunar Blue and Stardream Metallic Aquamarine. I ordered samples from them. They do charge for the color sample, due the recent demand, but I feel it is totally worth it.
- I have also checked out http://www.cardsandpocketsstore.com/. They have a variety of different types of pocketfolds. The site also shows the sizes and shape of the inserts that are needed for each of the different types of folds. They have a minimal charge for a sample pocket in the color that you want. You can also order a color swatch from them. All samples have free shipping on them, that is great for a bride on a budget.
In emailing Tom and reviewing the information that was mailed to me from Cards and Pockets, the prices were not that different from one another. You just need to decide if you want, or have time, to be crafty. I need to figure out if I feel like folding and gluing 250 pocketfolds or just have them all ready put together by someone else. If you do decided to make them yourself I would refer back to the roadtotheaisle.blogspot.com for detailed instructions on how to make them. She has photographs and step-by-step instructions. I just need to be serious with myself and think if I am really am going to have time to complete all of them plus all of the other items I need to do on for my wedding. I think that sometimes just put the to do items to the back of my mind, since I am not getting married until April of next year. I should know better since I am a part-time wedding planner and am constantly on my brides to get the things done that I need them to do.
I am looking at one of these two styles. I am not going to need that many inserts since I am having my wedding and my reception all in the same place. That means one set of directions and one RSVP card. Which cuts some of the cost of what I need to order and to print for each of the invitation. It might even make it a little bit lighter to mail since who knows what the USPS will do this time next year when I get ready to mail them.
On the Cards and Pockets website there were several different teal or aqua colors shown. They have Tiffany, pool and teal. When I obtained the sample from them I thought that the Tiffany color was the closest to the color that I have chosen for my wedding.
I hope that this information helps and I will keep you posted on what I really end up doing or if I find any more sites or information.

Have you ever noticed that once you get the ring....you get all the of these questions? Sometimes when I am talking to someone I feel like I can hear the music from Jeopardy playing in my ear. The questions range from " How are they wedding plans going?" to " When are you guys having a baby?" I just want to say "Slow your roll, we just solidified a date.".....April 11, 2009. Sometimes I feel like that people do not see me or hear me anymore. They just want to hear about my event. Not to say I am not excited..I waited to damn long for this. It is just sometimes I think that they are more excited than me.
