Wedding Weekend Part III: To Veil or Not to Veil that is the Question

Well, as part of last weekends festivities, I tried some veils. Everytime that I put one on it kinda made me itchy. I do not know why. I loved the birdcage veils that I have tried on. I was going to wear my MOH but it did not go with my dress. I have even won a discount from Castle Bride Couture, but the one that I love is more than what I paid for my dress. I really do not know what to do. I want a hairpiece that will go from ceremony to reception. I like some of the shorter veils that I tried on that were very simple. I definitely do not want a blusher. I wish I could have a combination of both, a traditional veil and birdcage. Anyone got any suggestions?

Miss Cookie over at weddingbee just blogged this week (8/6) about her first fitting and showed us pictures of her ceremony veil and her reception birdcage. I got some advice that if you wear a longer veil (mine is elbow) that you should remove it before the reception, because as you hug people its going to yank on your head!
